The exhibition was based on the documentary photographic record of life in the village of Luz and the Alqueva reservoir basin from 2001 to 2003. The idea emerged as the result of Miguel Proença’s work with António Oliveira Soares, who produced a text describing the events, which formed the basis for book which was later published.
