On October 28, at 8:30 pm, an observation of the night sky took place at Monte dos Pássaros. This initiative resulted from a partnership between the Luz Museum, the Mourão School Group (Mourão Living Science Club) and the OLA (Lake Alqueva Observatory).

The Museum of Light Village was present at the World Children's Day celebrations in Mourão, organizing a pedagogical workshop where children from the county's school community, through basic exercises, learned to inventory and catalog museum objects and pieces.

As part of our exhibition "Territory of Alqueva: from Transformation to Modernity", we invite you to enter the world that led to the reparcelling project for the parish of Light. The experience we propose is to assume the role of the engineers who designed the irrigation perimeter of Light village. Finally, we invite you to take a walking tour to find the orchids that are located near the Alqueva reservoir, namely wasp orchid and tongue grass.

As part of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the new village of Luz, municipality of Mourão (Alentejo), we hereby invite to participate in the VIII Colloquium of the Rural Museums Network of the South, to be held on May 5, 2022, at the Museum of Light Village. The Colloquium has as its theme “Museums, communities and territories: experiences and good practices” and aims to bring together museums that had a similar origin: the submersion of a village, being the guardians of memory and the active dynamizers of their communities and territories. with a view to building the future. The aim is thus to make known experiences that bear some resemblance to the reality of the village of Luz and to analyze the specific local case, through a look from the Museum and the community.
